Decided to bring the family to Prive Grill after our previous awesome experience with them on my birthday.
It was a quiet fine-dining restaurant which was perfect for Dad who hates the crowd.
With the family, we got to try more food even though we ordered our usual.
Overall, the experience was disappointing this time:
Our bottom barely touched the chair when the Prive hostess rudely interrupted us to insist that she needed to move us to the outdoor seating to hide us from the other guests as we were inappropriately dressed. As we tried to understand the situation from her, she rudely ignored us while making her stand firmly. We were angered by her attitude and the way she convey her message as she seemingly despised us by our casual dressing in a fine-dining restaurant. To make matters worst, the restaurant was not even full for the night and we were not there on any sort of discount. We were full -paying guest. Thankfully, the Prive Grill manager stepped in to dissolve the tension by allowing our group to stay put in our seats while apologizing profusely for the mistake by his team.
The only other complaint was the doneness of the steak. Ordered medium steak, yet it came medium raw. After it was sent back to us, it came back well-done.
Apart from that, it was a great dinner afterall as Dad was able to enjoy his dinner while calling his supplier mid-way without running off to the car as the restaurant was quiet enough. And I was super happy to bring my Dad to "see the world" at an atas-dining place instead of always having his usual zi-char.
