Dress Up, Perk Up

You know how articles always talk about dressing up to feel good?

That's what I've been doing these days, and I even try to stop wearing slippers everywhere I go. Instead, I learnt to match my outfit with a decent footwear. Just like how I wore my Birken's today.



FYI, this pair of Birken's was bought more than 6 years ago. Can you imagine?!

Anyway, wearing my Birken's made me feel awesome!

Me Time

Squeezing out some "me-time" amidst bringing grandpa for radiation is essential to keep me sane.

There's no time for facial, so I put my own mask.




But I cannot resist squeezing out some time to fix my nails with the upcoming events the next 2 weeks.

Sick

I'm on medication even though the flu had stopped on the day of the photoshoot.

The flu had evolved to blocked nose and cough... and tummyache. FML.

I still wanna look awesome despite being high on "drugs" though. But I can't seem to find the right angle to take a decent photo. This sucks!

Wedding Photoshoot 01: Casual themed shoot

Most friends would know that we are one of the most laidback couples. If we could have it our way, we would do away with the Chinese traditional stuff and just stick to our ROM wedding: casual and simple. Just like us.
 
I guess it's of little wonder when I plan for all our photoshoot to be done in a very casual manner.


With the Chinese Lunar 7th month ongoing in the past 4 weeks, we weren't allowed to do anything related to the wedding. Now that it is over, we are starting on our photoshoots!


Our first photoshoot is at the Garage since it would be related to our wedding theme. (I'd blog about the wedding theme soon on the wedding blog, I promise!).


The outfit is inspired by the mechanics, and we chose white so that it would stand out against the dirty background. 



My make up and hair is done by Karen Lin ( www.facebook.com/MakeupByKLin ). Really love how she separated by colored hair to give the bun a unique look. 

Since the setting is at the Garage, there was no props needed. But we bought a bunch of purple roses, my favourite!



We bought the roses at S$1.20 per stalk from Kovan Market, the stall nearest to MacDonalds. Cheap or what! This is why I always return to that same stall for my flowers for any occasions.


It was a fun photoshoot done by Joe Chan, the photographer behind all that awesome photos on Naise Clothes. And by the end of the day, we had 1 photo for preview.





I think we look great! Can't wait for the rest of the photos.

In the mean time, I love the smoky eyes that Karen did for me.Can't stop taking tons of selfies.

I look normal

Getting bored of my FAT FACE and long hair.



Wish I could look different in selfies these days.

But with the wedding coming up, and photoshoots in the next few weeks, I really shouldn't do anything stupid.

Oh well.

Simplicity is the trick

Even in color, the photo doesn't look very amateur without any photo-editing.

Armed with the Fluorescent Ring Light, and my trustworthy Sony Nex 5N, I've been shooting awesome looking photos against a blank wall at home.

Don't be fooled by the little space I used. With some photo editing, miracles can happen!

I love tees

Even before I started Naise Clothes and changed the blogshop's direction into making T-shirts a statement, I already love wearing tees.

These days, I wear tees every time I could!




Because I love how something so simple and comfortable can look good in any possible occasion.

I like BOYS...

After 2 months, I finally got the Florescent Ring Light set up and it's time to cam-whore!

While preparing some photos for a GF's proposal well-wishes, I came up with this:

Daiso - ONLY $2!

I LOVE DAISO.

Even when I've nothing to buy, I go to Daiso and leave with at least 5 items.

And another reason why I love Daiso, it's because I found some guns for only $2.




It looks so real, I almost wanted to kill myself with it.



Yes, I've been driven too edge far to often these days that I might go on a shooting spree and watch myself be STOMPed for using a toy gun in public.

Saturday. Just another day.

These days, the days don't matter when I'm need not worry about any doctor's appointments.

Saturday is just another when he needs to work.

But be it any day, I still want to look awesome.
