CAROUSELL - Snap, List, Sell.

I'm sure many girls can relate to me when I say that I have unwanted items sitting at the corner of my wardrobe: unwanted gifts from friends, loots from online shopping that doesn't fit. Yet it doesn't seem like posting photos of the items on Insta-shops got me any buyers, and bringing all the items to a flea market to sell is just too tedious.

When Christine introduced me to Carousell (the lifestyle marketplace) app last month, it's hassle-free way to "Snap, List, Sell as well as shop for new and pre-loved items at your finger tips" got me hooked in no time.

Carousell, a Singapore-based startup, is a free mobile app available on iPhone and Android (beta) to Snap, List, Sell as well as shop for new and pre-loved items at your finger tips. The app provides a platform to connect users together over items ranging from apparels, beauty products, books, gadgets, art and design, and many more.

Simply take photos of your product, or if you have "professional-looking" photos, feel free to use them .

Add details in the description, name a price, and you are ready for "business".

When the item is sold, simple click on the "Mark As Sold" button. Easy right?

Items listed for sale on Carousell are properly categorised. So if you are using Carousell as a shopper, just shop away on the easy to navigate home page.

Each category is further grouped into "Popular", "Recent" and "Nearest".

The "Nearest" category typically works for those who wish to choose meet-ups over postage, thus allowing you to meet-up with sellers nearest to your location.

However, this function is exceptionally useful for bigger countries such as Malaysia where the app is recently launched. It allows to user to sell/buy from users nearer to them, thus saving on waiting or even postage.

Apart from using the app to sell some unwanted stuff, the app is also a good place for aspiring artist to showcase their craft.

My personal favourite is the Minion bookmarks made by chanchan

I've been using Carousell for 4 weeks now, and I have been having fun interacting with the different people there whenever I post items for free.

Yes, some of my items are free as I couldn't put a price tag to it. So I simply give it to someone who could appreciate it more than me. To me, it works both ways when I clear my room of unwanted items while someone else love the item that I had just parted with.

So do look me up on Carousell @shad0wcharm to check out what I’m featuring on my list.
