Beautiful Purple Roses

The roses bloomed beautifully after we gave them water when we got home.

For S$1.20 per stalk, it is beautiful enough to make me smile.

Here's holding it like a trophy: to cheap and beautiful blooms.

Lifestyle Motorsports Track Day

Spent the weekend playing PA to him during the LMS Track Session.

It's a joy to be there for him as he returns to the pit faster after each laps.

He knows he got himself a gem when his logistics are taken care of and his game plan is well laid out for him whenever there's a hiccup.

Now how many racers got themselves a wife that does all that and more?

We are 55 months...

Sometimes in life, it's not about spending years together that allow the couple to build a strong relationship. Being together for months also allow the couple to strengthen the relationship through obstacles they overcome.

5 months into our relationship back then had set many tongues wagging. Yet after 55 months together, we had overcome it all to show others that love is beyond digits, and age is just a number.

Being together

It's interesting how he knows just how I'd pack the sandwiches.

I admit that I secretly have OCD and would be irritated if things are not packed properly. Hence it's sweet to see that the sandwich he packed for me to bring along to Grandpa's chemo-session, was just the way I wanted it to be.

It's little things like this that helps me through being there for Grandpa.

27 months as Mr & MRS is just the beginning...

Celebrating our 27th month as MR & MRS with a home-cooked meal.

Preparations started in the afternoon when I went marketing.

Simple meal of Udon (again).

Sometimes it's not about the fancy home-cooked food that makes it special; it's that once-in-a-blue-moon meal that makes it so special, and this month, we are preparing for a countdown!

More to come soon!

Valentine's day is everyday ...

We had planned to celebrate Valentine's Day a day after the overly commercialize actual day.

The original plan of picnic in the park was spoiled by the daily afternoon showers. But we were determined to spend a quiet afternoon together over some nice food. So we headed over to the very chic & quiet MU PALOUR @ Holland Village.

Situated above Thai Express, the cafe is quiet with only another table occupied. Being my 2nd time there, I expected the crowd to be of such given its location away from the main stretch of eateries at the other side of the road. He, too, fell in love with the place as soon as we stepped in.

Overall, the delicious yet reasonably priced dessert pastries and the gourmet burgers are great in the rainy afternoon where we were nicely hidden from the wet crowd. It hard not to love the almost empty cafe, giving one the feeling of exclusivity.

Anyhow, valentine's day is any other day to us considering that we had been spending plenty of time together in the past 7 months while I haven't been working. However, it is indeed a rare occasion that we are taking train together.

Feeling domestic today as I woke up crazy early for someone with nothing better to do. So...

I was inspired to cook dinner.

The easiest dish in the cook book:

Watercress Soup.

Ingredients:
  • Watercress,
  • Chicken thigh,
  • Minced Pork,
  • soup base.

Main course was the super awesome Mushroom Chicken Stir-Fried Udon

Ingredients:
  • Mushroom,
  • Chicken,
  • Instant Udon,
  • Oyster sauce with Scallop bits.

And he LOVED it so much, he agreed to let me be a housewife!

YAY!!! No more working! (as if!)

Woke up to a lovely surprise.

I love purple roses.

Reminds me of our 1st date when he went searching through the whole island just to get me a purple rose.

To many more great memories to come. Here's to our Forever.

WE were officially 2 yesterday, but I prefer to think that today is the actual day since it is today that we got together 4 years ago.

True to our vows, we are living in sickness and in health as we succumb to coughs together for the 2nd time in 3months.

Whatever the case, Last night's little trip to see that our unit @Centrale8 has been built makes our 4th year together a more meaningful one.

As we embark on our 5th yr together, I'm looking forward to finally wearing that white gown and getting the keys to our own home.

Cancelled going to JB at the last minute since the weather wasn't good for any track session.

Went shopping where he insisted on trying on blazers.

Oh so handsome!

Bliss is...

  • him kissing your forehead while switching off the aircon before he goes off to work as he knows you can't sleep through with the aircon on;
  • waking up to open the door for him while he goes off to work;
  • having him wait outside the bathroom in the middle of the night as you are afraid of ghost lurking in the dark;
  • him telling you that your snores are cute even tho it kept him up all night and he needed to wake up at 6am for work;
  • not working for 3.5months and he shares his pay with you while supporting your crazy idea to start an online biz;
  • and more...

These days, I count each lil' gestures as a blessing as we get to make up for the lost time over the past years.

PS: Ignore my mushy post. I'm in a lovey-dovey mood now as I just woke up while he was switching off the aircon, and managed to do the typical housewife thing of opening the door to send him off to work.
Now back to working on my dotcom.

On this date every year, we'd sit back and recall the date we met.

It was love at first sight, for him.

For me, I thought it was so cute for a guy to be so bashful. From giving me the bottle of Pokka Green Tea, to sitting beside me and sharing his nuggets with me while I shared my fries with him. He just kept blushing!

The subsequent weeks were filled with sweet thoughtful gestures that led me to give us a try despite the age difference.

Now, married for 21 months, we are glad that 4 years ago, on this very date, we met at the FJC September 2008 monthly meet-up.

I love little surprises.

Even it's a card he gives me when he went to find me after I'm done with friends.

Our last minute little picnic at a quiet corner of ECP.
