TCC by the Bay

I love moments like these...

High tea / Lunch with Shawn and my parents at a boutique cafe.

Dad is a "zi-char" type of person who loves his typical Singapore-style food at chinese restaurants. Bring him to Nan Hwa Chong Fish Steamboat at Beach Road or Yummy Claypot at Joo Chiat Road, and he'd feel right at home. Mum is a HDB tai-tai who occasionally visits places like PS Cafe for high-tea with her BFFs. But apart from that, their daily routine after work would be to have some tea at Jurong Point.

Since I had the TCC Loyalty Card with 50% off on my birthday month, it was the perfect excuse to drag them out of their comfort zone and bring them to "see the world". And alas, Dad loved the place for its peace and tranquility. Mum enjoyed herself equally having all the staff at TCC serving our table only as we were the only guest around.

It was a simple 2 hour high-tea / lunch, yet I enjoyed myself as moments like these were rare back when I was working. Now, I just couldn't help wondering how this afternoon would be like when a little one comes along.
